Clam Bayou Cleanup -- 18 April 2007

 On Wednesday April 18, a small group of 8 Snowsharks helped make Clam Bayou in the Gulfport area just a little bit cleaner. Recently, Kurt Zuelsdorf, owner of Kayak Nature Adventures decided to take matters into his own hands and began a clean up program called "Bring Back the Bayou" intended to clean the waters in and around the Clam Bayou Nature Park in Gulfport. The program is simple and works like this. Get in a kayak, paddle around and pick trash out of the water. Kayak Adventures supplies the kayak, the gloves, the trash pick up stick and a garbage bag. If you return to shore with a bag of garbage your kayak trip is free! Yup, free. This great program is only scheduled to run from March 1 to June 30. |
