SpringFest -- 19 May 2002

| We needed the rain but why did it have to rain on our SpringFest? Ft. Desoto was pretty deserted at 8:30 AM in the rain. However by 10 AM people began to show up and it stopped raining. The sky stayed pretty ugly but the weather was actually quite nice. Our chef, Henry, sprang into action and we started eating at 11 AM and never stopped until 4 PM or so. Every time we mentioned the words "lets go rollerblading" it started to sprinkle. Finally we got the message and just relaxed, had a good time and talked about the 2003 ski trips. Thirty nine people assembled for the picnic in the threatening weather. They consisted of 21 Skiers only, 8 Skiers/Bladers, 6 potential Skiers and 4 only Bladers. *** |
