Come and join your fellow SnowSharks at their annual kickoff party.
This year it is being held at
The Rusty Pelican
2425 North Rocky Point Drive
Tampa, Florida 33607
from
6:30 to 10:00 PM. We will be taking deposits for our 2011-2012
ski trips.
All trips are sold on a first come basis. Don't miss out!
Along with some club supplied tasty food and good friendship, we
will have
a silent auction to benefit the Disabled Veterans.
Proceeds from this auction
help send our veterans who are disabled,
on a ski trip held at
Snowmass Colorado each year.
Please consider placing a bid on one or
more of our items.
I know the Vets
will love you for it as much as you
love them for what they have done for us.

from 6:30 PM until you want to leave. A light meal/appetizers are provided.

Dinner and Gallery Walk

Join us on Saturday, September 17, at 6:00 PM for a delicious dinner.
Please make your dinner selection from Crab Cakes (house speciality!!!),
Prime Rib, Southern B-B-Que Chicken with guacamole and corn salsa
(another house speciality!!!) or Vegetarian dish upon request. These
choices will be at a fixed price: $22.00 per person
(includes tax and tip). Your meal will include a salad,
an entree with a side dish and dessert.
After dinner, we will stroll the streets of downtown Gulfport which will
be displaying the, bi-monthly, "Gallery" wares of local artisans.
Advanced dinner choice and reservations are required

Dinner and a Play
Dinner is from 5:00 to 7:00 at the
Old Northeast Tavern

Group seating will be in the "game room". We recommend ordering
in advance. Call the tavern (Matty) at 727-821-8070 and tell them you
are with "the group". (31 beers on tap)

The play is "August: Osage County" at the
Palladium Theater

The play starts at 7:30. Purchase your tickets in advance at the
American Stage box
office (727-823-7529).
Tickets are reserved under
"Snow Sharks" and are $33.00 each.
Parking is at the Palladium lot, side streets or at the Synovius Bank
lot two blocks south and west of the theater. We suggest walking to the tavern
from your parking for the theater. The Palladium is NOT handicap friendly.
You must walk a few steps inside the building.

| Weeden Island Kayaking |

Weedon Island Kayaking
On Saturday, November 19, 2011, we will be launching kayaks at
Weedon Island Park for a 2-3 hour paddle to and through the
marked mangrove, water trail. We will leave at 9:00 am.
The tide will be in and the water will be the deepest in the morning.
You can bring your own kayak or rent through SWEETWATER Kayak.
Reservations for kayaks:
Tandems ($50.00) and
Singles ($35.00)
MUST be made no later then Wednesday, November 16, 2011.
For kayak reservations call, Sweetwater at: 727-570-4844.
Tell them you are with the Al Brown/Snowsharks group.
A kayak rental includes: paddle(s), lifejacket(s), and map.
Call early to insure your rental preference!!!
At website: www.sweetwaterkayaks.com is a map/directions on where to
meet at Weedon Island to pick-up your kayak rental and the launching site.
After kayaking (around noon) we will lunch at the nearby:
Crab Shack - 11400 Gandy Blvd., N. (727-576-7813)
There are restrooms at Weedon Island if you want to
change clothes after kayaking.

| Holiday Lights Walk |

Holiday Lights Walk at the Botanical Gardens
When: Tuesday, December 13, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Where:
Florida Botanical Gardens
12520 Ulmerton Road
Largo, FL 33774.
The moon will be almost full, so it should be a great night for the walk.
A $2.00 donation is recommended.
There are food and craft
vendors at the gardens.
We will park and meet in the old art center parking lot off of Walsingham St.
The entrance to this lot (it says "Botanical Gardens") is across the street from
the Walsingham Park's north entrance. Please do NOT park in the
main Botanical Gardens lot off of Ulmerton.
****BE PARKED AND READY TO WALK AT 7 PM****

Holiday Party
You and your friends are invited to the
Clearwater/St Pete Ski Club’s
Christmas Party on the Water 2011
The Christmas Party will be held on the Super Queen
(an 85 foot catamaran fishing boat). We will be cruising in the
Island Estates boat parade. The party activities will include cruising Island Estates waterways, dancing and enjoying all the Christmas
lights on shore, as well as, all the brightly decorated parade boats.
We will board the Super Queen at the Clearwater Marina
on
December 10, 2011 at 6:30 PM.
The party will be approximately a 3 hour cruise--
just like The Minnow!
Things to bring:
A dish to share if you wish (ham and turkey provided)
Bring your own drinks (ice and cups provided.)
Come wearing your best lighted Christmas outfit as
prizes will be awarded for best one.
Cost is $15 Per Person. Kids under 17 free.

Enjoy pizza on the beach and view a wonderful sunset on the Vernal Equinox,
Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 6:30 PM (Sunset is at 7:41 PM).

This is a BYOB activity so bring your own non-alcoholic beverage.
(Please cover container if alcoholic)
There is a fee of $5.00/person for the pizza.
Bring your own chairs, cameras and blankets and enjoy the evening.

Snow Sharks' Camping Weekend
April 28, 2012
Join your fellow Snow Sharks on our annual cookout at the
Ft. De Soto State Park located in
Terra Verde, Florida.
If you want to camp, don't forget to reserve your campsite early.
To reserve a site call the Ft. DeSoto park office at
(727) 582-2267 EXT 10 or (727) 464-3347
The cookout is Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 3:00 pm at
shelter number 9 near the north beach.

Annual Snowshark Scalloping Cookout
Come join your fellow Snowsharks on July 23, 2011 at the Wagners home for our annual scallop party. For those who want to go and catch scallops, the boats will leave Ron and Holly's at 9:00 am. Please RSVP if you have room on your boat or would like a ride. We will try to find a ride for everyone who would like to dive for scallops.
Don't forget that you need a salt water fishing license.
These can be purchased at Wal-Mart or Bill Jackson's.
The equipment needed are a mask, fins, snorkle,
a net style "goody" bag and gloves.
The party will start at 3:00 pm. All Snowsharks and guests are welcome.
Bring a dish, if you wish.
